This is Jim Russell from Australia with some photos of some fish he caught this morning 1/2/05 they are called Snapper and grow to 30 pounds. The ones in the photos are between 2 and 6 pounds. All up they caught 12 Snapper, they also caught a fish called a leather jacket of 4 pounds , 3 tarwhine of a pound each and about 40 rock cod (the nuisance fish) but they thew them back.
The weather over there in Australia is HOT 40 deg C so they fish in the morning when its not too hot.

This is Lydia after her first trip to sea! Boy was it hot 35 deg. (celcius)at 6:30 in the morning!
The fish she is holding is a sand flathead that went 70 cm not bad on her first trip!
The photo below contains the big sand flathead and some tiger flathead.
The fish in the top left is a morwong, and there is also a slimy mackerel on the right, these are great live bait for Spanish mackerel and cobia.
