February 2006 Guess the Fish Contest Answer & Winner
The freshly caught pollock is a striking olive green or brownish above to yellowish or gray on the lower sides, becoming silvery gray on the stomach. This species attains a maximum weight of about 35 pounds corresponding to a length of about 3.5 feet, but most caught are around 4-15 pounds. This months winner is Ron McClelland from Red Bank, NJ. |
