July 2005 Guess the Fish Contest Answer & Winner This months fish is a sheepshead minnow. A small member of the killifish family, occuring in both fresh and salt water.The minnow grows to about 3 inches. It is found from Cape Cod to Mexico in shallow brackish and hypersaline bays and marshes. It is extremely abundant in those areas, occuring over a wide range of temperature and salinity. This months winner is Hans Toft.
